Hiking for Hope and Healing
In the summer of 2018, I will be hiking a long distance trail and campaigning for a very important charity while I crush miles! I applied for a permit and I’ve been busy getting resupply boxes together, as well as dehydrating my own backpacking meals.
In addition to raising money for this charity, I will be keeping a trail journal on this website. I will make an announcement soon as to which trail I will be conquering and which charity I will be supporting.
I appreciate your support in my endeavor! If you’re interested in following my journey, be sure to subscribe to my blog updates via email, or if you’re already a member of the WordPress Community, hit the follow button. You’ll receive updates on my charity goals, new trail journals, and other fun stuff like gear reviews and nature photography.
(Update!)
2/20/18: It’s official, I have a permit in hand and I will be southbound (SOBO) thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in June of 2018! I’m so exited to announce my participation with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in helping to raise awareness and funds to help prevent suicide and research for mental illness. For every mile hiked, I’m hoping to raise at least $1. This will go directly to the AFSP, who will use it to save lives and give hope to those affected by suicide. Thank you in advance for your support!
Here’s how you can help:

Like, share and Care: liking and sharing my posts on social media will help get the word out for my fundraising. If donating to my cause isn’t an option, this is a great way to help!
I am also interested in being sponsored by a gear brand or outfitter, or just being an ambassador. I will feature and review any gear gifted to me for my thru-hike, both on this blog and on my social media platforms. If you’d like to sponsor me, please contact me here:
